This Intermediate group class is designed to help next level beekeepers with the information needed to grow and keep their apiaries healthy. The objective is to
get the beginning beekeepers that understand the fundamentals to the next
level. When second year colonies reach maturity, they can be split into
multiple colonies to grow the apiary, or they should be ready add additional boxes to make a honey
crop when there is a nectar flow available. Both options are afforded when
the colonies are free of mites and the viruses they vector, so knowing when
to treat and which treatment method to use is essential.
This class is
not for beginners, it is for those that have already had bees for a while and
understand the basics of beekeeping.

The classes will generally include, but are not limited to the following
topics of demonstrations:
- Grading Hives
- Taking inventory of available stock in hives
- Equalizing Hives
